Lebanese American designer Joseph Abboud keenly understands men's
desire for relaxed, yet sophisticated, clothing. Renowned for
his fine tailoring, simple silhouettes and rich fabrics, Abboud
is often considered the sole designer who bridges the gap between
American and European menswear.
Says Abboud of his creations, "[They're] real clothes that
men everywhere can understand and appreciate. I believe casual
clothes can and should coexist in a tailored clothing wardrobe."
Since the debut of his first collection in 1987, Abboud has received
many honors, including the distinction of being the only designer
to receive the prestigious Menswear Designer of the Year Award
two years in a row(1989 and 1990) from the Council of Fashion
Designers of America.
